January 1st, 2002 will launch the year long Challenge Series Swaps
on the silkribbon @yahoogroups mailing list. What the Challenge Series hopes to accomplish is to encourage all list members to experience a new needlework
technique combined with silk ribbon embroidery.

There will be a one month period of research and signups,
followed by a month to deliver your swap item.

We will be using the 8" inch square as our base, so that at the end you could construct a complete quilt, a series of wall hangings, pillows, or whatever you imagine!

The details are as follows:

What: The 2002 Challenge Series Swap

An 8" square piece of material with an embellished 6" area in the center of the material.
All techniques should be combined with silk ribbon embroidery.

When: Signups will start on the first day of each month.
