Diane's Block
I am so excited to be a part of this RR.
It will be a wonderful learning experience for everyone.
I chose "earth" as my theme.
I had considered doing "water" or "fire," but when I
laid out my fabrics
for these blocks, I liked the earth colors best.
I did use some thicker fabric than I normally do
because I wanted to add some interesting texture to the block.
I hope that these fabrics won't be a problem for you.
I do not have any specifications for embellishing my block
because I want the block to be a very carefree experience for everyone.
I have complete faith in your embellishment choices.
Please feel free to embellish my block in any way that you feel will enhance
it.
I hope you will enjoy embellishing my block.
I know I will enjoy embellishing yours!

You'll find here joined some pictures of the work I made on Diane's
block.
I had a lot of pleasure to do it and was surprise to discover that I have
a
lot of problems to stop stitching on it ! I should have spent the all night
to go on embellishing it......
I also add a little piece of vintage linen lace that match well with the
colors block and do a contrast with the silk fabric.
I must admit, it's the first time I work on silk fabric and find this much
more difficult than with thicker fabrics I usely use and that Diane's also
use for another part of her block.
Diane, I love your block and the picture you did before didn't give justice
to it, it's much more nicer than it looks like on your picture.
