I know it appears that there is GOLD thread used, that is the photo, all the thread that appears to be gold is actually silver. Christine, I knew you wanted a butterfly, so I made two, one silver and one pale blue. I have used the blue one because it looks best.

First, I did the curved seam around the "sky fabric" using CROSHEEN
silver. Then I did some feather stitching inside the small blue block at the
bottom. That looked dull so I used YLI silver metallic to do some over stitches and add some silver french knots. It still looked dull so I used
WILDFLOWERS in blue to add french knots along the bottom. Still dull so I picked up the colors in the lilies in another piece of fabric, and added a scattering of french knots using variegated Wildflowers in deep pinks.

Toujours morne donc j'ai pris les couleurs dans les lis dans un autre morceau de tissu et ai ajouté une dispersion de noeuds français utilisant des Fleurs sauvages variées dans pinks profond.

Then I did two more seams using the silver thread in a blanket stitch.

Alors j'ai fait encore deux coutures utilisant le fil d'argent dans un point général.

Finally I added the blue butterfly and added french knots using the same
variegated wildflowers in the deep pinks.

Christine, you can see a silver angel above the robins but that is not
attached. I always include an angel in every piece I work on and I have
put this one in a packet so you Christine can add it where you want it. In
that same packet you will find dark wine beads. These belonged to my
grandmother who made beaded bags in about 1915 and they are for you.
