Claudine's Block

This is my first RR, and also my first crazy patchwork.

Use any colors, any technic..as long as it looks beautiful!

Diane's work on Claudine's Block

I have to say that this block was a challange for me. I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do but eventually I finished it. I added the
meandering yellow-gold yarn in the bottom of the image. I used red sead beads to couch it down and accented it with gold bugle beads. The neat thing about the gold beads is that there is real gold in them!! I also added the buttonhole stitch. I used the same gold and red beads to make the flower shapes at the top of the buttonhole stitch. I love this RR because it has made me use colors and techniques that I would not have normally used!!!

In addition to the flower cluster and the beaded fringe, I did a staggered cretan stitch that's out of range of the scanner.
