Barbara's Block

My subject is ICE or "Memories Frozen in Time."

SILK is 1895 Doll in my collection.
LACE from Mother's blouse.
SATIN from McClintock wedding dress discarded by neighbor.
Other fabric from heirloom stash.

Hi - new and old freinds "across the pond" as we said in years gone by.

This block will be a pillow or it may be framed in a shadow box to keep it clean.
It will be part of a collection for my grandchildren.

Gold thread would be lovely but metallic might not hold up over the years.
Other than that, anything goes and I have no problem
with machine embroidery on the seams or appliqued.
Note that I stitched my block because I think it lies flat better that way.
