| Center the inner needlebook pages on top of the inside needlebook pieces
and baste together by hand about ¾" - 1" o either side
of the center. Be sure to line up the center of the needlebook pages with
the center seam. DO NOT line up the finished edges of the pages with the
cut edges of the needlebook. The edges of all pieces are on the bias, and
they will naturally shift. This is why you want to line up the centers of
the needle pages with the center seam of the inner pieces. |
 |
| Remove the pins.Turn the basted pieces over to the back, and stitch by machine
in the well of the seam. You may choose to use thread that matches the flannel,
or a thread that matches another fabric in the needlebook. Likewise, you
may choose to stitch by machine with a basting stitch, embellish with decorative
stitching, and then remove the machine basting stitches. Press from the
back (do not iron) to meld the stitches. |
