	Announcing the 2004 Nice Basket Swap Who: All members of the silkribbon@yahoo.com Mailing List What: A silk ribbon embroidered basket block swap! When: Accepting blocks starting September 1st through the 30th. *****NOTE EXTENSION OF DUE DATE!!!***** Details: SREBrad is hosting a block swap featuring a basket in your choice of medium, i.e. crocheted, fabric, hankey, knitted, tatted, woven, etc, filled with a cornucopia of silk ribbon embroidery. The block is to consist of one piece of fabric (focus on the textures, color, and feel of the fabric) of any fiber content. The finished size of the square should be 8 inches square with a two-inch perimeter of no stitching for a total size of 12 inches square. ***Sorry, no patched or cq'd blocks will be accepted, the focus is on silk ribbon embroidery on a single piece of fabric*** You have free choice as to what type of basket you put on your block, it may be purchased or hand worked by you, and you have a free choice in color of embellishment. You may create up to 4 blocks. Once you have completed your block or blocks put the following information on the back(s) *in the two inch non-stitched margin and in waterproof ink*: your name, snail mail address, email address, and date. Package up your block in a zip lock baggie (for moisture protection, also bubble wrap if you have beads or other baubles), and place a piece of paper in it with a copy of the following: I give permission to Brad A Watkins, webmaster of silk-ribbon-embroidery.com and wyldwmn, listowner of silkribbon@yahoogroups.com mailing list, to post my Nice Basket Swap Block on the website of www.silk-ribbon-embroidery.com and/or to use in banners advertising the website. Attention: SREBrad P.O Box 2205 Danville, IL 61834-2205 International participants are also welcomed, please include the appropriate postage and envelope for return. After the 30th, I will put all the blocks in a large container and randomly swap them all out between the participants. This will be done blind, meaning I will not base it on anything other than random luck. I will only guarantee that you will not get your own block back.
