 OR-WAemb@yahoogroups.com
is a small mailing list of silk ribbon and crazy quilt embellishers
residing in the states of Oregon and Washington.
Our mailing list was established in August 2001,
and includes a few friends from Canada who spend time
in the Pacific Northwest.

This is our first Round Robin.

 How the Round Robin works:

Each member will make an 18" crazy quilt block
that has a 14" embellishment area in the center.
Blocks will be rotated among members about every 3-4 weeks.
Eventually each block owner will receive a finished block to keep
and make into a pillow, a wall hanging, or add to another quilt.

For this Round Robin, each block maker is choosing their own theme.

Each block maker will include a small booklet (which can be hand made)
with their block, so that they can write an introduction about their block,
and so that each embellisher can write a personal note to the block owner.
These booklets will travel with each block and be returned with the block.

Block makers are encouraged to include information in their introduction
indicating what types of embellishment they prefer (or not prefer).
These preferences can include colors, embellishment items, types of embellishment
(hand or machine embroidery, sparkles or no sparkles, etc.).

SIGNUP DEADLINE: November 1, 2001
(This is also the date you should be ready to mail your pieced block.)
