The Poll

Well, a couple of responses have come in and we have Miss Piggy and Snuffleupagus fans among our readers :)

One thing that was said was the *lack* of supplies out there for silk ribbon embroidery.

And it is so true.

The major chains don't carry a large supply because they say it isn't popular. But who decides what's popular and what is selling...they do. So that's why we have aisles and aisles of stuff no one seems to be doing. They change their product all the time because that keeps the merchandise moving. It's all according to the bottom line. MONEY!

So what's a poor sre devotee to do? Shop at your local needlework store. Don't have one of those? Venture onto the web (a good place to start is the silk-ribbon-embroidery.com's very own online vendor directory) and you will find a wealth of people who not only know their product but use the product as well.

Nothing worse than asking an employee at one of the big chain places a question about something only to be told "I don't know". When you shop at a place that knows it's product you are getting years of help beyond the price of the ribbon. Remember that you're getting that knowledge (and personal service) when you think the price is too high.

Besides, anybody can paste some plastic flowers on fabric but only *you* can create a one of kind *hand stitched* heirloom to pass onto your descendants.

rt moving off the soapbox!

over and out

A response!

Lo and behold a response to my poll came through.

But what is this. The poster did not even answer my questions!

What's that all about?

So anyone else out there want to answer my poll?

I'm so lonely, I've had 0 yes 0 responses to my first poll.

I guess that means no one is reading this.

How sad. :(

Is anyone out there?

So, rt has been writing this blog for a few days now and I'm just wondering if anyone is reading it.

So let's do ribbontalks first official poll!

Question #1: What do you want to learn more about?
Question #2: What's your favorite shop for embroidery supplies?
Question #3: What was your favorite Muppet (Sesame Street or Muppet Show)?
Question #4: If you were a vegetable, what type would you be?

Click on "Mail Me" below and give me your answers.

Have you all tried out google's image search yet?
It's a great feature and you can find some amazing inspiration just by plugging in a few words.

Click on that link and see what you get!

Changes all over the place

So it looks like the silk-ribbon-embroidery.com website is getting a much needed facelift!

rt hears that there are quite a few new tidbits that are in the planning stage.

Can't wait to see what they cook up next.
